TEXTILES TEXFABRIC

La textile-confection chain TEXFABRIC is diverse and heterogeneous in terms of the multiplicity of its final products. Although its most characteristic part is the production of yarns and fabrics for the manufacture of garments and household items (lingerie, curtains, towels, etc.), the textile industry also covers the production of technical fibers used by other industries , agriculture and construction, in the form of products as diverse as conveyor belts, filters, insulation and roofing materials, packaging textiles, ropes, nets, coating fibers, carpets, etc. The activities of the chain -view very generally and according to their degree of transformation- range from the production of raw material (natural, artificial and synthetic fibers) to the manufacture of that great variety of semi-finished and finished products. The intermediate processes of the chain are the manufacture of threads (spinning), the weaving (flat and knitted) and the dyeing and finishing of fabrics. The difference between flat and knitted fabric is relevant because, as a stage prior to the manufacture of garments, one or another type of fabric implies an additional step in the value chain. From the flat weave fabrics are elaborated that have to be molded and cut to, by means of the sewing, make the articles of clothing (shirts, blouses, trousers, dresses, for example). Knitting, on the other hand, is done simultaneously with the making of the garment. Such is the case of stockings, shirts, some underwear, sweaters, etc.
